Time management (by ARDIANA BALQIS BINTI AZHAR (CB20123)

Planning and regulating the amount of time you spend on specific tasks is what time management is all about. Effective time management is one of the most useful abilities you can have as an online student. The better you manage your time, the more likely you are to meet your objectives. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, so it's not how much time you have that matters, but how effectively you manage it.
This is especially true for online students, who are frequently working full-time, caring for family members, or managing other obligations. Effective time management is critical to helping you stay focused when you don't have the company of a class to encourage you or a defined time when you need to be in college.

Advantages

It is time-saving
At home, everything is within the grasp of your hand. After a long study, surely you will feel exhausted and need to fuel back your energy. You can just simply grab a few biscuits and take a break for a couple of minutes without having to waste so much time away from your study spot. In the library, it is forbidden to eat or drink so you will have to retreat from the place and go to another place to feed your hunger which will consume a lot of time. Plus, library also have a time limit and you surely will have to rush from another place to the library again if you still want to study there.
More convenient
Studying at designated study space at your home does not require you to get well dressed up and wear makeup as nobody else going to see you except your family. Study in pajamas also will do or any other comfortable clothes that you feel comfy enough to wear. In addition, you can study whenever you want without having to think about the time limit you should be in that place or calculating how long will you get to home before your curfew. This might lift up some burdens and worries that clouded your mind and reduce some stress about studying or assignment.
Disadvantages

Easy to procrastinate
Most of us tend to have the study space in our room. Some may have their study room but usually someone without any additional room will just study in their room. While studying in your room with a view of your bed, it could be tempting to lay on the bed while scrolling through your phone or even watching Netflix. You may think this will be just a few minutes but in the end you it will drag on to many hours as room is meant to be comfy and place for you to relax. Hence, you will waste time and be unproductive.
Prone to household distraction
Some persons might share their room with their sister or brother. The possibility of distraction by the siblings is highly likely as they may enter the room anytime they want. Not just that, they They may be chatting a little too loud that could decrease your concentration to study or finish your homework. Plus, you may also be tempted to have a chat with them and this could lessen the productivity of your work.
HAVING GROUP FOR STUDY

ADVANTAGES | DISADVANTAGES |
Share ideas | Unsuitable study partner |
Help motivate to study | Discussing unrelated topic |
Improved communication skill | Having a conflict |
Disadvantages
Learning in a group also have their disadvantages. Firstly, when working and learning in a group, students may encounter one or two unsuitable people to be their study partner, meaning that they are not comfortable and it is hard for them to have fun while studying together. In this case, these things usually happen because of selfishness in each team member. They do not want to share ideas and pay less attention to studying together. Students who get team members who do not have chemistry can lead to less efficient work because of a lack of teamwork as a group.
Next, when studying in a group, there will be a point where the discussion might go out of the topic. This situation usually happens when a person is talkative and a few like gossiping in the group. When the discussion is supposed to be severe and more informative, these types of students will make it impossible to be serious in a discussion. They lack attention and put less effort into studying together.
When students study in a group, there is also a possibility of conflict with other group members about discussion topics. No one wants to yield and still stand firm with their opinion. When studying and working in a group, it is crucial to be more open-minded and accept a different opinion from each team member. The conflict increased stress levels, negatively affecting students' emotions and mood to study.

To every disadvantage there is a corresponding advantage

Having a group to study together is very nice. They are a small group but always meet each other with the same purpose: studying together and discussing specific fields of study. Every student must at least have one small group of people whom they can ask to study together. Why study in a group when students can study alone?
R.Keith Sawyer, PhD, associate professor of education in Arts & Science at Washington University, said that a study group is more effective because when students learn in a group, they can absorb what they are learning and process their thinking faster than a group of people who spend time studying alone. When studying in a group, students can share various ideas, expanding their thinking and thinking more deeply about the subject they are learning. Usually, students quickly get bored and distracted because they cannot find any answer or idea on what they are learning. Being in a group help student to brainstorm brilliant ideas, ways, and solution to a specific problem. Studying together is a lot more fun because group members can help each other motivate to study. When studying alone, we tend to lose motivation quickly. There is no one to cheer us on, but if in a study group, they can keep reminding us and help us gain more study motivation either by giving advice or making us learn to be more focused serious in study. Not only that, each person in group study will surely not let anyone fall behind and help each other as much as they can.
Studying in the group also enhanced students' communication skills. There must be a type of student who is shy or scared to communicate with others. By having a study group, students can regularly meet each other and start to make many conversations, which help in their communication and help them make new friends. It may take some time to adjust to new people or get comfortable with them, but getting to know a new person takes time, and that was one of the fun experiences in learning in a group.
Learning in a group can be effective and more convenient for the student to study together and exchange ideas; however, it is also essential to have a study group strategy, especially when working in a group work together. Paying lots of attention to the studies is important but learning how to operate and lead a good group study is also vital for successful discussion and teamwork with our group study members.
Teaching-Based Learning (Chua Kian Pheng CB21106)
advantage
Teaching-based learning improves your understanding of the subject being taught and also improves teaching skills. It will also improve your ability to use critical thinking skills. It can help you learn the topic more easily.
disadvantage
There are some downsides to using the Feynman technique or learning from teaching. It can take a long time to find all the spaces in a particular topic. This technique can be overwhelming because it can give you an idea of how well you know yourself. And it's not easy to explain this to someone who doesn't have any background knowledge in this field.
